About Us

The Arc Allegany-Steuben Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 1995 to raise funds that support services for people with disabilities and their families.

People living with developmental and intellectual disabilities—such as Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, Autism, or Down Syndrome—face many challenges in learning, working, and participating fully in community life. The Foundation serves as a vital resource, helping to ensure that these people have access to opportunities that promote growth, independence, and inclusion.

The Foundation was created to ensure appropriate financial resources exist to protect and expand the opportunities available to people served by The Arc Allegany-Steuben in Allegany and Steuben Counties, NY. Funds raised by the Foundation are awarded to support people with special needs in the areas of education, recreation, community inclusion, and self-support.
