The Arc of Steuben Names Meghan Williams as Associate of the Month for June
Meghan Williams, Direct Support Professional, was named Associate of the Month for June. Williams was nominated by Rebecca Miller, Residence Manager, and Bona Elliott, Residence Manager, for her dedication and commitment to The Arc of Steuben
. Recently, Williams went above and beyond her normal responsibilities.
Along with her job with the agency, Williams volunteers for the Bath Ambulance Company on the weekends. One weekend, an ambulance was dispatched to an Arc of Steuben residence, and the associate working that evening had to leave with the ambulance. Fortunately, Williams was part of the crew that responded to the call and knowing the house needed coverage, she ended her volunteering service early and clocked into work at the site.
“We believe these actions show Meghan’s dedication and commitment to this agency and the people we support and are a perfect example of going above and beyond” said Miller and Elliott.
Williams had never worked at the home, and only knows the people that live there in passing, but this did not stop her from jumping in to provide the necessary coverage and oversight. Williams found a relief associate to come in, and then returned to her volunteering responsibilities.
Meghan, congratulations on being selected as an associate of the month, and thank you for all that you do.
